So I was really excited, quite frankly, when I read an interview with Tonya Jone Miller on a new-ish blog called Tits and Sass that some sex worker bloggers I like and respect started up some months ago. I’ve worked as a professional submissive/masochist for several years (most of those years full time, but only part time the last few), and a little while back there was a brief craze it seemed, among pro kinksters, to use some new-fangled “work for yourself” phone sex site to make extra income talking to strangers about the things we like doing in person.

Tonya’s interview was so engaging, and mentioned so many conversations she gets to have with her callers that sounded arousing to me, that I knew immediately I wanted to find out more about possibly applying for a position with Bay City Blues. I especially liked the part where I wouldn’t have to spend untold hours setting up a complicated web page to try and make myself stand out among the thousands of other providers advertising through the aforementioned self-propelled phone sex service.

I emailed her, and was delighted by her kind and enthusiastic response, so we set up a time to talk on the phone and figure out whether I’d be a good fit for BCB. I knew, from the moment she answered, why there’s no shortage of people who want to spend frequent, extended periods of time with her voice in their ears. I can only imagine, in discussing with Tonya the goals and policies of BCB, that the women she has currently brought into the Bay City Blues fold are as delicious and genuine as she is.

What also became clear to me after an enjoyably long chat with Tonya was that I’m hopelessly addicted to in-person exchanges. I haven’t been consistently advertising as a professional sub and masochist for some time now, as I mostly only still see clients I already know, or when I’m in New York, I do lots of double sessions with pro Domme friends as well. By the time I got off the phone with Tonya though – after all the talk about different fetishes and fantasies that she gets requests for and genuinely enjoys, I was like, holy shit I need to start sessioning more regularly now, I can’t take this once-in-a-while stuff anymore! And I *definitely* can’t take getting all worked up on phone calls with people and then not having an in-person climax to the scene.

It seems we’re all made for different things, have different strengths and different needs when it comes to how each of us engages in any area of the sex industry. It saddened me to tell Tonya, after she’d been so generous with her time in discussing the ins and outs of me possibly joining the BCB team, that I’d realized I wasn’t cut out for it. I do love to talk about sex, all kinds of sex, kinky and otherwise, but I’m too easily stimulated to be able to tolerate leaving it at verbal fantasy play, once I get started.

The great thing about connecting with Tonya is that now I know where to send those folks who contact me asking if I ever do phone sessions, and I also know that I want to step up my involvement again in actual in-person pro kink and escort sessions. You might say the sound of her sultry voice on the phone lit a fire under me – an experience I’m quite sure I’ve now shared with her many, many satisfied callers. I wish all the beautiful women at Bay City Blues the most enjoyable adventures, as they make themselves available to a very fortunate public whose delicious longings and intimate fantasies may be safely, intensely, and at times explosively fulfilled at the skilled hands (and voices) of women who care about the connections they make with those who seek the non-judgmental, enthusiastic outlet that is Bay City Blues phone sex. Though I won’t be joining this amazing team, I remain grateful to know that I now have a stellar group of women I may refer my own cherished playmates to, when their appetites for phone fantasies arise.
